Hamsa

Hamsas are a good-luck charm shaped like a palm with five fingers. The hamsa is a universally-recognized symbol, and has different interpretations in different religions. According to some Jews, each finger symbolizes one of the five books of Moses. In Kaddala, the hamsa symbolizes the hand of the Creator which defends from all evil. In Islam, the hamsa is also known as “the hand of Fatima” and is also believed to protect from the evil eye. The hamsas that we create may be hung throughout the home, and make wonderful housewarming gifts.
